Welcome to MDF. We're on a mission to To improve the lives of the people by reducing the burden of communicable and non-communicable diseases and social inequalities affecting orphans, vulnerable children, women and the elderly in Cross River State. The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.

In commemoration of the ongoing Global 16 Days of Activism in Ending all Forms of Gender Based Violence. The Founder and President of Mediatrix Development Foundation and Wife of the Governor Cross River  State, Dr. (Mrs). Linda Ayade, celebrated with 25 GBV Survivors in the State with Provision of Livelihood Support. The theme of the event was 'Her Story, Our Story, Our Action'.

Participants at the event were stakeholders from the Ministries of Health, International Donor Corporation and Education, NAPTIP, FIDA, BRCI, UNFPA, UNHCR, Mediatrix School Club representatives and Persons With Disabilities in Cross River State.

The event featured a Panel session where relevant stakeholders from the United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA), Basic RightS Counsel Initiative, Ministry of Justice, Medical Women Association and the Federation of Women Lawyers all took turns to enlighten the participants while answering questions on Gender Based Violence.

25 GBV victims were empowered in their areas of interest which included, educational support, fashion design, petty trading, catering and makeup artistry.
