The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.

Nigeria Governors’ Wives Forum held her 2nd Annual Conference to mark the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence in Abuja today under the theme "Sustaining Action on the State of Emergency Against Sexual- and Gender-Based Violence".

The wife of the Governor of Cross River State and founder of Mediatrix Development Foundation (MDF) and Cross River Women Emancipation Initiative (CROWEI) used the opportunity to showcase her activities with MDF and CROWEI as the Governors' wives and the First Lady of Nigeria took a tour of the CROWEI/MDF Exhibition stand and viewed pictures, publications, maps, and other works depicting Dr. Linda Ayade's activities and achievements with special interest in SGBV.
