We're on a mission to To improve the lives of the people by reducing the burden of communicable and non-communicable diseases and social inequalities affecting orphans, vulnerable children, women and the elderly in Cross River State. The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.

The recent celebration of the World AIDS Day every December One of each year marks the long commemoration of the first global health day in 1988. This 2016 celebration with the theme “Hands up for HIV Prevention” in Cross River state include the City walk/ Dance against HIV/AIDS in Cross River State.

The City Walk lead by The President Mediatrix Development Foundation Dr. Mrs Linda Ayade and Her Husband His Excellency The Governor of Cross River States Prof. Benedict Ayade , United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and other partners with the HIV/AIDS campaign targeted at educating the public on HIV preventive measures TAGGED WISE UP CROSS RIVER commenced at the millennium park through IBB way, Ndidem Usang Iso road and terminated at the .

In the event, the President / Founder of the Mediatrix Development Foundation, Dr. Linda Ayade stated that “HIV/AIDS has had a devastating effect on families in Cross River State, cutting lives short and turning many children into orphans. We have made progress in the area of health but I must also acknowledge that great efforts still remain in the journey to zero HIV infections zero discrimination and zero AIDS related deaths”.

My NGO, Mediatrix Development Foundation in partnership with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and other development partners have taken up the challenge with an HIV/AIDS campaign initiative tagged “WISE UP CROSS RIVER”
The Wise Up Cross River Campaign is an innovative and creative way of passing information on prevention of HIV, STIs, unintended pregnancy which affects millions of people out there and other medical issues in our communities.

Mediatrix Development Foundation shall do all within her power to ensure that HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support services are available at all times and at no cost to the citizenry. We shall also ensure that violation of the human rights of people living with the disease does not go without due punishment.
